Dear President Trump,

On behalf of the American Jewish Congress, the American Jewish community, and Jewish communities across the world, we extend our gratitude for your historic leadership in securing the release of all hostages and for laying the foundation for a lasting end to the war in Gaza.

For more than two years, innocent men, women, and children have suffered in captivity at the hands of the Hamas terrorist organization. Your steadfast determination, compassion, and unwavering stand with Israel and the Jewish people never faltered. You demonstrated the courage to act when others hesitated, the strength to lead when others doubted, and the humanity to feel the pain of every hostage family. We are deeply grateful for your tireless commitment to mobilize the full strength and influence of the United States in confronting Hamas, and to unite regional partners under a shared vision of peace.

The atrocities of October 7 and the two years of war and captivity will forever remain etched in the history of the Jewish people and Israel.

Equally, decisive leadership will be remembered for generations as a moment when America once again stood firmly on the side of Israel, freedom, and humanity.
