To the 170 Harvard faculty members who spoke out against antisemitism on campus:
Thank you.
When a quieter campus made it easy to declare the problem solved, you asked the harder question: has the hate been eliminated, or has it gone underground?
You stood up for the Jewish students who feel the need to wear baseball caps over their kippot. Who tuck in their Star of David before class. Who scrub Jewish-sounding names from their resumes for fear of discrimination. For the Israeli student told to leave a classroom because her nationality made others uncomfortable.
No student should have to hide who they are to belong. And no university should mistake concealment for peace.
You raised your voice publicly, modeling the courage too many students feel they cannot afford. You told them: We see you. We hear you.
Today, we say the same to you. The American Jewish Congress and the undersigned stand with you. We call on Harvard's leadership to listen to its own faculty and act on its own findings.
The moment for action against antisemitism on campus is now.
